A Prayer for Peaceful Sustenance

A prayer for Peaceful sustenance
These words are what I say.
To heal the hurts and right the wrongs
This is my wish today.
I take this food and take this drink
As Life’s own nourishment.
I take this only and no more
For this is my intent.
To serve my body and my mind,
My sustenance for Heart.
Support as it was meant to be
As One and not apart.
My gratitude I give to all
In sharing now with me.
That I might live another day
In simple Harmony.
To Mother Earth I give my thanks
For food and water both.
I care for you, you care for me;
Will always be my oath.
With careful thought for Love’s firm hand
I give my thanks to all;
And ask Forgiveness as I may
If Peacefulness did fall.
Forgiveness asked for hurt or harm -
Such was not my intent.
I only asked for sustenance
And only this I meant.
Nature’s bounty – sweet melodies
Of fruits and nuts and seeds.
A simple fare and Love and prayer
To meet my daily needs.
This intent - I ask Protection
And Restoration, too.
That all may live in Peacefulness,
As Love’s declared us to.
