As you can see, our potato box is coming along nicely - and quite rapidly! :o We have just added our third 1/6 side boards and have added more soil. We still have a few stragglers coming up, but most of our plants are doing great. It is wonderful to watch them photosynthesize in this sunny window. The intent in these potato boxes is to use them outside. However, since we live in a northern climate - and our potatoes were begging to be planted - we decided to give the concept a try indoors. So far, things are working well. We probably have far too many plants growing in one box. It is a kids' first attempt with a potato box, so we have just let them go for it. :)
