Repurpose It!
Don't throw it away! Just find a new purpose for it!
Just because something has fulfilled its initial intended purpose doesn't mean it is ready for the landfill. There are many, many ways to find new lives and purposes for just about anything. The only limit you will find are those you have in your imaginations. To help you get started, here are a few ideas:
Repurposing Ideas:
Mini biodegradable planters from old toilet paper rolls – make 4 slits on one end and fold like a box top.
An old ladder can be made into a bookshelf – horizontal or vertical.
A vintage rake head can be turned into a necklace holder.
An old wooden ladder can be turned into a drying rack for laundry.
An old dish drain can be used as a file organizer for the home office.
Teacups can be used as mini planters.
A woven basket can be used as a planter.
A wheelbarrow can be used as a planter.
An old bathtub can be used as a planter.
A colander can be used as a hanging planter.
A muffin pan can be used as an organizer for sewing supplies.
Paper sorters can be used for freezer shelves.
Old ear rings can be used as push pins.
A jewelry box can be used as an organizer for office supplies.
A coat hanger can be used as an organizer for glasses or sunglasses.
An old tool chest can be used as a planter.

Tins can be used as planters for succulents.

A funnel nailed onto the wall can be a hook to hang things on, like jackets.

Old bath and kitchen linens, or old clothing, works well for packing fragile items for transport.
