We're back to business as usual here on the website. We give our thanks to all of you who checked in to see what's new. At the Foundation, we live what we share here. We reuse, repair, and as a last resort, we recycle. These efforts include our computer equipment. It means more work backing up files and so on, and sometimes it means being down for a few days while we await a part for a repair. But, our environment is worth our efforts - even if we do grumble about the inconvenience once in a while! :)

Sacred Earth Vision Quest Ranch and the Healing Arts Center have jointly shared some beautiful words from a Hopi Elder this morning. Check out one of the blogs to listen.
Obituary (from The London Times 2-7-12 (or so we are told)) "Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain; - Why the early bird gets the worm; - Life isn't always fair; - And maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses, and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, launched a lawsuit and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death, -by his parents, Truth and Trust, -by his wife, Discretion, -by his daughter, Responsibility, -and by his son, Reason. He is survived by his 5 stepbrothers; - I Know My Rights - I Want It Now - Someone Else Is To Blame - I'm A Victim - Pay me for Doing Nothing Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone." ~ London Times Still looking for that perfect electric vehicle? This is an outstanding documentary that everyone should see. It provides a fresh interpretation of the Mayan Prophecies for 2012, as well as illustrating the continuing wisdom of the Mayan people of today. The Mayans are our brothers and sisters, and should be Supported as such. In many ways, they are leading the way through the changes that are already upon us, while showing the world the way to live Peaceably with a true sense of identity, family, community, and world relationship. The Mayan people are as visionary today as they were hundreds of years ago. We would be wise to follow their lead, return to Mother Earth, and embrace the Oneness that is our inherent Truth in Life. We're sure some of you who looked at one of our featured electric vehicles thought the GEM cars were cute, but were far too slow for your needs. Perhaps the GEMs didn't have the range you need on a battery charge. The Green Living Resource Center has another favorite up for you to check out. This electric truck has a better range and top speed for those who need more.
When thinking about an electric vehicle, it is important to consider the batteries. Using lead-based batteries is not a good option, especially when considering disposal issues. A lithium battery lasts longer and presents no environmental issues to deal with. Keep that in mind as you consider electric vehicles - cars, trucks, ATVs, and so on. The Conscious Parenting Summit is a free online event featuring interviews and information on the entire subject of conscious parenting for today.
