Lakota Elder Vern Traversie went into Rapid City Regional Hospital (South Dakota), and was discharged 14 days later with multiple mutilations carved into his abdomen - including the letters "KKK". Mr. Traversie is blind, so had no idea that these things had happened until a nurse pointed out to him the night prior to his discharge that he should have photographs taken of his body immediately upon arriving home. This shocking story is purportedly being ignored by officials in South Dakota. Signatures are being collected to petition the South Dakota State Attorney General to investigate this matter thoroughly. You can find out more and sign the petition if you are so moved here.
