A six-nation Native American alliance that is nearly 1,000 years old is against fracking (hydraulic fracturing). Shouldn't you be, too? What will you do when there is no clean water to drink anymore? What will you tell your children when they are thirsty, or when they ask why the rivers, streams, springs, and other natural water sources are poisonous? What will you tell them when the wells that are supposed to run clean, clear water instead smell of gas and turn into torches when touched with a flame? Will you speak of your indifference, or will you speak of how you were a part of saving our most precious right to Life - our water?
What will it take for the all of the world to see that the Earth is our Mother who has a finite amount of resources through which she can Support Life? Everyone should listen to the wisdom of the Earth Keeper peoples, for they know the Earth in ways no others can. We can all be Earth Keepers each in our own way. Now is the time that we must all be Earth Keepers, for if we do not keep the Earth, she cannot keep us. Will you be a part of preserving Life, or will you ignore Life until it is no more? Our only source of water is the Earth. If we don't Protect the Earth and her water, it, too, will be no more. What then? Have you thought of this?
